Each month The Forge present independent jewellery designers connected by a shared theme. This year, the showcases take inspiration from book titles linked to distinguished jewellers.

The October showcase, Moby Dick, takes inspiration from accomplished jeweller Sonny Bailey Aird and Herman Melville’s exploration of light, darkness and contrast.

Across the showcase you’ll see a wonderfully varied response to the theme, from diamonds and richly coloured gemstones to textured metals, strong forms and pieces exploring contrast, surface, light and shadow.
